Training and Competition Calendar

As a result of several changes to the competition calendar since last publication in February 2021, the Training and Competition Calendar has been updated. If you find any error, please provide feedback.

In respect of this calendar, the athlete groups are as follows:
Senior A – Athletes (20-35 years) qualified for Australian Senior Championships (currently no WAT athletes)
Senior B – Athletes (20-35 years) not qualified for Australian Senior Championships.
Junior A – Athletes under 20, qualified for Australian Senior Championships (currently no WAT athletes)
Junior B – Athletes under 20, not qualified for Australian Senior Championships.
Junior C – Athletes competing in the Australian Youth and Under 15 Championships.
Masters A – Athletes over 35, competing in Australian Masters Championships.
Masters B- Athletes over 35, not competing in Australian Masters Championships.

Program Update

Masters A – 5 Week Program (4DPW) with minimal taper – here is week 1. If you trained yesterday (Monday), start on Day 2, otherwise start Day 1. This week is fairly easy but there are lots of technical goals to pursue. This program will take you to the WTI Masters Championships on 19 June in Launceston. The minimal taper will allow you to resume training quickly for the AWF Masters in late August.

Seniors A and B – 10 Week program tapering for WTI Senior Championships on 24 July. All 10 weeks of the program are already in existence but further changes and improvements will be made in future weeks, If you are a Masters athlete, this program is not for you.
